Though I’ve wanted to write since the 3rd grade, I didn’t complete my first novel until the age of 62. GWEN was published in 2020, followed by AS THOUGH WE DIDN’T EXIST 2 years later. Both novels delve into the existence of good and evil within each of us. It’s not always easy to tell the difference.
My third novel, UNCLEAN, (stay tuned) takes the reader back to 1st century Israel, where being unclean can cost you everything. Including your life. This is the situation in which the main character Adinah finds herself at the age of 17 when her first child, a son, is stillborn, and her postpartum bleeding doesn’t stop.
CLEAN, my fourth project, takes us through Adam’s journey to recovery which can be just as frightening as his descent into addiction.
Still an avid reader, historical fiction is my favorite genre, though I’ll read mostly anything I can get my hands on. I’ve been on a non-fiction journey lately, focusing on times and events that happened during my lifetime, such as the assassination of JFK and the bombing of the US Embassy in Lebanon. Afraid of being empty handed, I usually read several books at a time – one upstairs, one downstairs and one on my Nook that I can easily take with me wherever I go.
My husband and I live in Maryland where each winter we discuss moving south. I have 4 adult children, and the current count of grandchildren is 14. Now retired, if I’m not writing or reading, you can find me babysitting some of the younger grands.
Life is good.
